About the chef

My name is Jens Söndergaard, half Swedish, half Danish and a wholehearted gastronomist with almost 30 years of experience as a chef, where I have worked as head chef in everything from Michelin-starred restaurants to Meyer's canteens. However, it has never been stars that have driven me, but the love of good taste cut to the bone and the simplicity of good ingredients. Being able to pass that on, served on a plate to happy guests is an experience every time.

Privately, with my wife and our two children, I recently bought a small country house with 1 hectare of land, a view of the Lammefjord, a newly established organic vegetable garden and the dream of eventually running a pop-up restaurant, food school and catering, among other things. Sustainability, animal welfare and the farm-to-table philosophy are part of my cooking, and I would love to include our own ingredients but also other high-quality local products in the food for you and your guests.

Take a look at my menus, which are mostly for inspiration. Experience from many private dining events and large and small parties tells me that the perfect menu is created in a dialog.

• The chef arrives at the agreed address 1-hour prior to the dinner time, unless otherwise agreed.
