Foreword

My name is Armando Vera, originally from Mexico City. Growing up in a country where Mexican gastronomy was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UN is an amazing honor. And I guess that’s were my passion for food comes from and therefore I decided to persue a carrier in this industry.
I have live and work in Canada, USA, Dubai, Ireland, France, Italy and Denmark all these countries have now an influence in my cooking. I keep learning and trying new cuisines, flavors which I keep integrating in my ideas to please my guest.
In 2017 I had stand at the Westmarket street food with an open kitchen which I never experience before and it changed everything for me once I realized how great it was to make food in front of my guest and I never looked back, ever since I’ve been doing private events, dinners and cooperations with Copenhagen Dinning Week, Copenhagen Cooking, Kitchen Collective and Copehagen Cooking Class besides other local arrangements in the city.

The ideas behind El Patrón are based on the basic flavors of the ancient Mayan and Aztec cuisine, but modernized for the contemporary private dining scene renewed and refined. Tasting which, together with the visually beautiful dishes, must create a balance in the overall impression.
And as a community, each mouthful must bring the experience up to a higher level. The authenticity is expressed by craftsmanship, created with the best ingredients and a love for Mexican cuisine.

It went well despite Armando taking over the evening, in the morning, due to the chosen chef's illness.

We had Armandao and his wingman Rasmus over to cook for my birthday. They were amazing. Food was authentic Mexican. Great taste, lots of flavor and brilliant servings. Armandao was great company and introduced the food with passion. We can only recommend a tasty Mexican night in good company!

Armando was super good at communicating and keeping us in the loop right from the start. He delivered top service and even contributed to the good atmosphere at the party, as he is also super friendly. 5/5 from here!
