How much does it cost to rent a chef?
Prices vary depending on the menu and number of guests. Most menus range between 395 DKK and 1,200 DKK per person. You can always see the price before you book.

For the sake of your reputation, I hope that such major delays will be handled properly another time. The party, a 70th birthday, we had been looking forward to very much, but my evening was ruined. Fortunately, I had guests who took it in good spirits. That simply MUST not happen. You are not very reliable.

The food was prepared by Neldeljko, and it was simply world-class.
EVERYTHING just worked, and Nedeljko was incredibly pleasant, professional, and meticulous.
Finally, our kitchen was left in the nicest order after Nedeljko had taken care of all the dishes.

I chose a menu that Akash himself had suggested, and which I approved because it looked both exciting and well composed. I therefore also expected him to be experienced in these very dishes. The menu consisted of four courses, and three of them fully lived up to my expectations – in taste, presentation, and execution.

Everything included, from ingredients to cleanup
When you book through ChefMe, you agree on the menu and price directly with the chef. Ingredients, cooking and cleanup are included, with no unexpected extra costs.
Secure and transparent payment
We only charge you after you have accepted the chef's offer, and no earlier than 14 days before your event.
Free cancellation and full flexibility
You can change the number of guests and allergens free of charge up to 7 days before the event. Cancel 7 days or more before and we refund the full amount.

What is included when I book a ChefMe chef?
The chef takes care of shopping, cooking, serving and cleaning up the kitchen. You just need to set the table and provide drinks (unless you have added a wine menu or similar), and otherwise enjoy the time with your guests.
When is the latest I should book, and can I make changes after booking?
We recommend reserving the date as early as possible by sending a request to the chef, especially for weekends and around holidays or large events, when demand is high.
Up to 7 days before the event you can adjust the number of guests, and you are always covered by our free cancellation insurance. So you can safely book as soon as you know the date of your event.

What kinds of events can I book a chef for?
You can book a ChefMe chef for all kinds of events, big or small. From milestone birthdays and weddings to small, intimate dinners with friends, family or colleagues.
Our skilled chefs tailor the menu and the experience to fit your needs perfectly.
Can I change the chef's menu?
Yes, you can start from one of the chef's menu suggestions, and with most chefs have a menu tailored exactly to your wishes.
Simply write your preferences when you send a request, so together you can put together a menu that suits you and your party perfectly.
When do I pay?
We only charge the payment 14 days before the event. If the event is less than 14 days away, we charge the payment immediately on booking confirmation.
Can children's menus be made?
Yes, children are more than welcome. The ChefMe chef can often adapt the menu into child-friendly versions or make special dishes that appeal to the little ones.
Just mention how many children are attending when you send your request, and the chef will make sure both children and adults have a great experience.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests?
Each chef decides how many people their menus are suited for.
Most ChefMe chefs cook for parties of 8 to 100 people, but you can also find menus for 5 people, or for more than 200 guests.
What if I have to cancel?
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, you can. ChefMe has a flexible cancellation policy:
- 7 days or more before the event: you get the full amount refunded.
- 3 to 6 days before the event: you get 70% of the amount refunded.
- Less than 3 days before the event: the order can no longer be cancelled.
If the chef has to cancel (which fortunately is rare), you naturally get the full amount refunded, and we help you find a new chef.
