How does it work to hire a grill chef?
It is easy to book a grill chef with ChefMe. Send a request to the chef that suits your party and agree on the menu. The chef takes care of shopping, preparation, grilling, serving, and cleaning — you just enjoy the party with your guests. Everything is included in the price.
What does a private grill chef cost?
Prices vary depending on the menu, number of guests, and the chef's experience. Most grill menus start from around 300-500 DKK per person, and you can always see the chef's prices before you book. There are no hidden costs — the price includes ingredients, preparation, and cleaning.
What types of grill menus can I choose from?
Our chefs offer a wide variety of grill menus:

The food was absolutely amazing – truly delicious, beautifully prepared, and exactly as we had hoped for. But what made the experience extra special was how easy and professional everything was. He brought everything that was needed, took care of all the cooking, and afterwards handled both the cleanup and the dishes. In other words, we did not have to think about a single thing and could just enjoy our wedding and our guests.

We have just had the pleasure of having Patrick (or his staff) out serving at our wedding. The food was absolutely perfect, and everything was under control with allergens, etc.
We can definitely only recommend others to book him as well.

Everything included, from ingredients to cleanup
When you book through ChefMe, you agree on the menu and price directly with the chef. Ingredients, cooking and cleanup are included, with no unexpected extra costs.
Secure and transparent payment
We only charge you after you have accepted the chef's offer, and no earlier than 14 days before your event.
Free cancellation and full flexibility
You can change the number of guests and allergens free of charge up to 7 days before the event. Cancel 7 days or more before and we refund the full amount.

What is included when I book a ChefMe chef?
The chef takes care of shopping, cooking, serving and cleaning up the kitchen. You just need to set the table and provide drinks (unless you have added a wine menu or similar), and otherwise enjoy the time with your guests.
When is the latest I should book, and can I make changes after booking?
We recommend reserving the date as early as possible by sending a request to the chef, especially for weekends and around holidays or large events, when demand is high.
Up to 7 days before the event you can adjust the number of guests, and you are always covered by our free cancellation insurance. So you can safely book as soon as you know the date of your event.

What kinds of events can I book a chef for?
You can book a ChefMe chef for all kinds of events, big or small. From milestone birthdays and weddings to small, intimate dinners with friends, family or colleagues.
Our skilled chefs tailor the menu and the experience to fit your needs perfectly.
Can I change the chef's menu?
Yes, you can start from one of the chef's menu suggestions, and with most chefs have a menu tailored exactly to your wishes.
Simply write your preferences when you send a request, so together you can put together a menu that suits you and your party perfectly.
When do I pay?
We only charge the payment 14 days before the event. If the event is less than 14 days away, we charge the payment immediately on booking confirmation.
Can children's menus be made?
Yes, children are more than welcome. The ChefMe chef can often adapt the menu into child-friendly versions or make special dishes that appeal to the little ones.
Just mention how many children are attending when you send your request, and the chef will make sure both children and adults have a great experience.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests?
Each chef decides how many people their menus are suited for.
Most ChefMe chefs cook for parties of 8 to 100 people, but you can also find menus for 5 people, or for more than 200 guests.
What if I have to cancel?
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, you can. ChefMe has a flexible cancellation policy:
- 7 days or more before the event: you get the full amount refunded.
- 3 to 6 days before the event: you get 70% of the amount refunded.
- Less than 3 days before the event: the order can no longer be cancelled.
If the chef has to cancel (which fortunately is rare), you naturally get the full amount refunded, and we help you find a new chef.
