What is a private chef?
A private chef comes to your home and prepares a complete meal from scratch. The chef plans the menu together with you, shops for ingredients, cooks the food on-site, and cleans up afterwards. All you have to do is enjoy the evening.

How much does a private chef cost?
Prices depend on the complexity of the menu and the number of guests. A typical 3-course menu starts from 395 DKK per person, while an exclusive 7-course gourmet menu can cost up to 1,500 DKK per person. Everything is included in the price — ingredients, preparation, serving, and cleanup.

Thomas served his 6-course star menu for our 12 guests yesterday. It was an experience that truly lived up to our expectations. He was good at joining the company in a discreet and very pleasant way. Wedding celebration!
We have just had the pleasure of having Patrick (or his staff) out serving at our wedding. The food was absolutely perfect, and everything was under control with allergens, etc.
We can definitely only recommend others to book him as well.
The only downside was that they had unfortunately forgotten the bread and whipped butter that were also supposed to have been there (the money for this has also been refunded without any hassle)

Top service and food
The entire process from first contact to the food being eaten has been incredibly good. Casper always responded very quickly, whether through messages or calls. The menu suggestions were adjusted to perfection, and all allergens and dietary preferences were taken care of.
On the wedding day, Casper took care of everything and there were 0 worries. The food was really good and there was food for the helpers and the photographer as well, so we as a couple could enjoy the dinner.

There was another chef who arrived instead of Patrick. That was perfectly fine in itself, but unfortunately there was a bit of a lack of communication along the way.

Great dining experience professionally delivered by Davide. Incredibly tasty and beautifully presented dishes. There was enough food even for our teenage sons, and still very high quality for the discerning palate. Very fast and clear communication with Davide, who arrived well in time. Everything included, from ingredients to cleanup
When you book through ChefMe, you agree on the menu and price directly with the chef. Ingredients, cooking and cleanup are included, with no unexpected extra costs.
Secure and transparent payment
We only charge you after you have accepted the chef's offer, and no earlier than 14 days before your event.
Free cancellation and full flexibility
You can change the number of guests and allergens free of charge up to 7 days before the event. Cancel 7 days or more before and we refund the full amount.

What is included when I book a ChefMe chef?
The chef takes care of shopping, cooking, serving and cleaning up the kitchen. You just need to set the table and provide drinks (unless you have added a wine menu or similar), and otherwise enjoy the time with your guests.
When is the latest I should book, and can I make changes after booking?
We recommend reserving the date as early as possible by sending a request to the chef, especially for weekends and around holidays or large events, when demand is high.
Up to 7 days before the event you can adjust the number of guests, and you are always covered by our free cancellation insurance. So you can safely book as soon as you know the date of your event.

What kinds of events can I book a chef for?
You can book a ChefMe chef for all kinds of events, big or small. From milestone birthdays and weddings to small, intimate dinners with friends, family or colleagues.
Our skilled chefs tailor the menu and the experience to fit your needs perfectly.
Can I change the chef's menu?
Yes, you can start from one of the chef's menu suggestions, and with most chefs have a menu tailored exactly to your wishes.
Simply write your preferences when you send a request, so together you can put together a menu that suits you and your party perfectly.
When do I pay?
We only charge the payment 14 days before the event. If the event is less than 14 days away, we charge the payment immediately on booking confirmation.
Can children's menus be made?
Yes, children are more than welcome. The ChefMe chef can often adapt the menu into child-friendly versions or make special dishes that appeal to the little ones.
Just mention how many children are attending when you send your request, and the chef will make sure both children and adults have a great experience.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests?
Each chef decides how many people their menus are suited for.
Most ChefMe chefs cook for parties of 8 to 100 people, but you can also find menus for 5 people, or for more than 200 guests.
What if I have to cancel?
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, you can. ChefMe has a flexible cancellation policy:
- 7 days or more before the event: you get the full amount refunded.
- 3 to 6 days before the event: you get 70% of the amount refunded.
- Less than 3 days before the event: the order can no longer be cancelled.
If the chef has to cancel (which fortunately is rare), you naturally get the full amount refunded, and we help you find a new chef.
